  • CV checker: how well your CV evidences each of the nine Civil Service behaviours at the grade you want, and whether it follows the official CV guidance.
  • Job matching: live Civil Service jobs that fit your CV, grade and eligibility.
  • Guides to personal statements, behaviours and interviews, with sources for every fact.

Paid, from prepaid credit

  • Strengthen a behaviour (£0.50): we ask you about a real example from your experience, then organise your answers into a STAR outline (Situation, Task, Action, Result) and CV bullet points for your target grade. Each part shows which of your words it came from.
  • Prepare for a specific job (£2.00): what the advert assesses and how much evidence you have for each criterion, how to apply, a personal statement plan, help building examples for your gaps (up to 5), feedback on your own statement draft, and practice interview questions. It stays in your account so you can come back to it.

Prices are shown before anything runs, credit never expires, and you can ask for unused credit back at any time. New accounts get free credit to try it. See our Terms.

How it works

  1. Check your CV for your target grade. It's free and takes about a minute.
  2. Pick a gap and answer a few questions about a real time you showed it. If you're stuck, we suggest where to look.
  3. Check the outline we organise from your answers, edit it, and save it to reuse in applications and interviews.
  4. Write your application in your own words, and apply on the official Civil Service Jobs site.

Questions

Is this a human coach?

No. It's guided online help: automated tools ask you about your own experience, organise your answers and give feedback against official Civil Service guidance. There are no live sessions. It costs far less than a personal coach, and you can use it at any time.

Will you write my application or personal statement?

No. Civil Service guidance says AI can help you structure your own examples and check spelling and grammar, but must not be used to invent or inflate your experience, and applications can be rejected for that. We help you find, organise and check your real examples; you write the application.

Is this Civil Service Learning?

No. Civil Service Learning is the government's own training service for people who already work in the Civil Service. We're an independent service for people applying for Civil Service jobs, and we're not part of, or endorsed by, the Civil Service.

Is there in-person coaching or a coaching centre?

No. Everything is online and works anywhere in the UK, on a phone or computer.

Can you guarantee an interview?

No, and nobody honestly can. Applications are assessed against each advert's criteria by the recruiting team. We help you present your real experience as clearly as possible.
